my bright idea already happened

Yesterday, I suggested Hayes Carll do a big benefit on Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County, TX, and a reader sent me this link.

So it already happened. It was sort of a benefit, I suppose, since the musicians just charged for their expenses.

This reinforces to me a creeping realization I've had lately. I don't have my finger on the cultural pulse anymore. Otherwise, I woulda known about the Stingaree Festival.
