Editing out the Son of God

I happened to be watching the NFL Channel yesterday when the new members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced, and I continued watching when former Houston Oiler great Bruce Matthews phoned in from Texas to speak to reporters. (See yesterday's post here if you want.)

The first person (or deity) that Bruce thanked was "The Lord Jesus Christ," and then he named some teammates, a coach and his family.

So now I've read just about all the news coverage of Bruce's election, including the Houston daily, and it turns out none of the sportswriters wrote a word about Bruce thanking TLJC, even though he was at the head o' the thank-you list.

Why do you suppose that is?

The way I look at it, a man gets elected to the gawdamm Pro Football Hall of Fame, he oughta be able to thank who he wants and get quoted accurately. But I guess I'm wrong (again.)

I was checking out a few of the BNN links on the right side of your blog.

Man. I think you should consider moving them, some of them, anyhow, over to the other side.
