PBS cartoon a lil' too sweet for Spellings
After new Education Secretary Margaret Spellings objected to a cartoon featuring a lesbian couple in an episode entitled "Sugartime!," PBS said that edition of "Postcards From Buster" won't be aired. PBS said the decision has nothing to do with Spellings. Of course not.
the show's focus "...is on farm life and maple sugaring."
Maple sugaring? OK, somebody fill me in? An alt-version of tossin' the lettuce? Or is it salad being tossed, or tea-bagged, or just what? So confusing. C'mon, tell me. Please? Please, please, pretty please? With sugar on top?
