Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy daze...
Never kick a fresh turd on a hot day.
As that saying is never far from the minds of Freeport residents, their elected leaders decided last night not to approve an ordinance to regulate naked dancing bars, naked modeling studios and other activities that involve gettin' naked.
Technically speaking, it's a sexually oriented business ordinance they decided not to approve. This way, such enterprises would not be shunted off to an area mostly owned by Dow Chemical Co.
Spread the love, in other words.
“We’ve essentially told sexually oriented businesses, ‘After May 15, come on down,’” (Mayor Jim) Barnett said after the vote.
So, I guess all there is to say is ya'll come.
