Road trip: Groom, TX

They say this leaning water tower was built at a truck stop that closed down a long time ago. The idea was the leaning tower would get motorists to pull over for a look-see along the old Route 66 (this portion is now I-40.) [LINK]


Groom is also home to the largest cross in the Western Hemisphere (allegedly), also located along I-40. We didn't stop. [LINK] The film "Leap of Faith" used the location. We have not seen this motion picture. [LINK]
