Oohs & aahs were heard when Brazosportians got a gander at explosions like this. After a while, the oohs and aahs quieted down because, let's face it, fireworks can get monotonous after about 10 minutes. But at the grand finale, many people applauded in appreciation of the free entertainment. Problems with mosquitoes were minimal, owing, no doubt, to the drought conditions that currently prevail. Of course, that presents another danger. FIRE! But we've got the police scanner on right now and don't hear any calls coming in to the LJ Volunteer Fire Department.
