Me too. Remember him as Tommy Shanks, the mayor of Melonville?
Vaguely. I've got a box set of some SCTV episodes. I used to sit at the ranch and watch for hours, avoiding work. Pure genius, and it would mean almost nothing to anyone younger than me, I bet.

Where do you think I got my blog name, The Fishing Musician? Watching SCTV in the 1970's and early 1980's warped my brain in a good way, eh.
Oh, and what a great talent John Candy was.
i've got a bunch of old SCTV episodes on VHS tapes. They're out in the garage. Too bad I haven't had a VCR plugged in around here in years.
Guess I need to invest in the DVDs, eh hosers.
