Cartwheels verboten in the No Fun League

During the Tampa Bay-Carolina game last Sunday, an official threw a penalty flag after a Buc lineman did a cartwheel in celebration of a teammate's interception.

It was declared a violation of the rule against "taunting."

We assert without equivocation that launching a spontaneous cartwheel is not taunting.

Over officious officiating sticks in our craw and ruins our fun. Do something about it, Commissioner Goodell. Please.

It's like Coach Gruden said.

"I try to coach enthusiasm," he said. "Our coaches try to stimulate the players to be enthusiastic. You only live once. There's no sense walking around like a doughboy.
"They got these airplanes flying over your head right before kickoff. You've got the fans going crazy. What are you supposed to do? Stand there like a doughboy? I don't know how you do that."

That's right, coach.

Spontaneous cartwheels are too gay to be taunting. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

doubt the guy who did the cartwheel is gay, if it's any comfort to you.

the cartwheeler was Chris Hovan, a defensive tackle who goes about 250 lbs and is covered with tattoos, which I guess doesn't mean anything if you want to bring up who's gay or what's gay.
