Sarah Palin is cool, likes Ron Paul too!

McCain's choice for vice president says she's a little like our Favorite Son, which may or may not be a good thing politically speaking, since people tend to either love or despise US Rep. Ron Paul of the Fightin' 14th District of Texas.

MTV interviewed Palin (pictured above) a while back and she called Paul "cool."

“He’s so independent. He’s independent of the party machine. I’m like, ‘Right on, so am I.’ ”

She really did say "right on."

And she said "cool" twice during the interview.

Which we think is cool.

We don't know if she was tailoring her words to an MTV vernacular but we noticed she uttered neither of those catch phrases today in Dayton, Ohio -- good call, Ohio being the heartland and all.
