Brazosport survives Starbucks closings

Starbucks, whose stock price is plummeting even faster than Dow's, will not close any of its stores in Brazosport by wisely deciding that the heavily chemicalized area is not fit for the high-priced coffee retailer.

Houston is not so lucky, heh-heh.

Here's the Houston stores on the hit list.

6274 SHEPHERD & FARNHAM 3821 SHEPHARD HOUSTON TX
7944 I-45 & RED RIPPLE 6001 N FWY HOUSTON TX
9615 HWY 249 & ANTOINE 12503 TOMBALL PKWY HOUSTON TX
10056 MAIN & DALLAS 914 DALLAS ST HOUSTON TX
10650 FANNIN & PRESTON 1018 PRESTON HOUSTON TX
11562 WESTHEIMER & BRIARGREEN 14333 WHEIMER RD HOUSTON TX
13479 BELLAIRE & WILCREST 10611 BELLAIRE BLVD HOUSTON TX
13672 FANNIN & MACGREGOR 6400 FANNIN ST HOUSTON TX

Out in the suburbs, Humble and Victoria are each losing one Starbucks and Rosenberg is losing two, but Pearland justifiably, is keeping its four Starbucks (expect a proclamation from the Chamber of Commerce.)

Is there a silver lining for Houston Proud coffee drinkers? Yes, if you take solace in Dallas losing one more than Hell Town:
