Wheat

The price of wheat, like all commodities these days, is way high, which is why in places like Oklahoma, where I took these photos, you find wheat planted just about wherever there's space to plant. They say wheat is basically a weed, insofar as its ability to thrive in places where other crops don't do as well, and it also has been said that wheat "is the staff of life" though some people say that notion is pure poppycock.
