Is Ron Paul laying 3rd party hints?

The Baltimore Sun caught up with our congressman, Ron Paul, in Iowa and paraphrases the presidential candidate thusly:

If he doesn't do well in the early primaries, Paul said he would re-evaluate his Republican bid and the possibility of a third-party run depending on how he does in the contests on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5. (we made the important words bold-faced so you wouldn't miss em)

The first reader to offer an online comment immediately alleged a misquote: "I doubt he said that he has a 3rd party on his mind, I think you misquoted him. He said that if he doesn't do well on February 5th he'll reevaluate his bid."

We kinda doubt he was misquoted, but it's possible. [link]
