A new perfect county-western song for the year 2007

When the late Steve Goodman wrote the perfect country-western song, he accomplished that feat by writing a verse that alluded to "Momma, trains, trucks, prison, 'n gettin' drunk."

It was good. Real good.

It touched all the necessary bases, except hedge funds.

Probably cause hedge funds didn't exist back when the song was written (as far as we know.)

And if they did exist, they more 'n likely weren't in the pickle they're in today.

So, now a song has been written about the current state of the hedge fund, and it goes a lil' somethin' like this heah ....

Good to see your post about Steve Goodman. He often doesn't get his due. Thought you might be interested in an eight-year project of mine that has come to fruition -- an 800-page biography of Goodman published in May, "Steve Goodman: Facing the Music." Please check my Internet site below for more info on the book. Just trying to spread the word. Feel free to do the same!
