Warren Spahn statue

It's in the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in Guthrie, OK, just about 30-35 miles north of Oklahoma City.

Spahn, the high-kickin southpaw for the Milwaukee Braves, was a native Oklahoman. I saw him pitch several times in the Colt Stadium against the Colt .45s, forerunner to today's Astros.

There also is a banjo museum in Guthrie, OK. To see some photos of that, hit BanjoPics

I date back to the "Spahn, Sain, and pray for rain" days. He was one of the all-time greats.

i missed the Sain years but i guess i got to see Spahn pitch at least 4 or 5 times. my dad, being a native of Wisconsin, always made it a point to catch the Braves when they came to Houston.
