Dow schmoozes UN with tugboat

After scoring huge points in Bloggerville with its TV commercial, Dow Chemical Co. is taking its fancy pants public relations campaign to New York City, where a tubboat has been pushing a barge carrying a billboard featuring Dow's big red diamond.

The UN is bullish on Dow, despite the downturn in the corporate behemoth's stock price, and hosted a lunch (burrito, vegetable lasagna, crouton salad) where Dow CEO Andrew N. Liveris announced Dow Chemical's sponsorships of Blue Planet Run's around-the-world relay in June 2007, reports Inner City Press.

Blue planet, big blue marble, one world government, American jobs to overseas foreigners ... get it?

Wheee, let's have a relay!!
