"Fire in the hole!"
The new Aussie Dow chairman barely got settled into the catbird's seat when the company's Texas Operations put two emissions events under its belt.
First, there was a FIRE in the company landfill. The contaminated that was emitted was "100 percent opacity smoke."
Then, three days later, "the train was off line doing an exchanger hot gas wash when the 6" reactor rupture disk blew prematurely."
The contaminent and amount emitted was 3,401 pounds o' ethylene (gaseous).
Now you know.
