Go ahead, make our day Rhode Islanders, Hawaiians, NYers

If'n you're licensed to carry a firearm in the states of Rhode Island, Hawaii or New York and you want to come down to see the rodeo or the Alamo or the amazing array of petrochemical industries that grace Texas, there's no need to check your sidearms at the border.

Go ahead and bring your handguns, says Governor Rick Perry in three official proclamations.

Just remember, take dead aim, and if you shoot anybody, remember to tell the po-lice you were in fear of your life.

(We're still waiting to see if Massachusetts, Vermont and other gun-loving states will be included in future gubernatorial proclamations.)
