Ringin' in the New Year, almost

There will be a big New Year's Eve Party at the trendy, enjoyable, semi-new restaurant in downtown Lake Jackson known as "The Local." Seating begins at 6:45 pm, entertainment's at 7:30, a champagne toast commences at 9:30 and the party shuts down AT 10 P.M.

I've really gotta get outta this place. Like my late daddy used to say, "If I disappear, don't come lookin' for me."

No one knows yet whether it will be the Texaco star or Mayor White powering a hot air balloon ...

Is Lake Jackson in a different time zone?

No, Lake Jackson is on a different planet.

That sounds good, actually. Party a little bit and get home before the shooting starts. Lights out at 11. Start the New Year right.

Ah, yes....so it ends at 10 PM. Which leaves just enough time to get home and REALLY celebrate the New Year's with real Fireworks...hopefully with the significant other. After all, why stop with just a kiss for New Year's?
