The Agony of Being Maureen Dowd
It's not easy being Maureen Dowd.
Painfully shy, she has a high-profile job as a New York Times columnist, which sometimes leads to appearing on TV, where she is uncomfortable.
Insecure about her own column-writing abilities, she writes a new book, which requires more TV appearances, personal appearances and a certain amount of self-revelation because her book is entitled Are Men Necessary?, which, of course, requires a "no" answer (I guess; haven't read the book.)
She gets asked out on dates a lot, but apparently hasn't found Mr. Right, so concludes men don't want "smart" women, only women who'll stand in awe of them, thus supporting her thesis that men aren't necessary and that she is smart.
Neurotically paranoid about people knowing whom she dates, she nonethless dates a movie star and a famous (for TV) television writer and is appalled that people talk about her private life.
Though employed in the communications business, her readers don't understand her, somehow concluding she is a liberal idealogue who is so insecure she cannot find Mr. Right.
Like I said, it's not easy being Maureen Dowd.
It's almost Shakespearean.

Sounds like it's no picnic being NEXT to her, either!
I suspect she requires all her men to submit to castration in order to spend a second night..... and she keeps them as a keepsake in a jar of formalin on the bedside table, just as a reminder to everyone involved (and as a warning to the ininitiated...) who is boss....
Yes, but did you catch that photo? What I can't figure out is why they would want to spend a first night!
Say, where can I get me a pair of shoes like that?
If a male was to gender bash like this he would probably be locked up. I guess if you are a minority or female it's ok. Has she ever had a relationship with a man? Maybe she is the loser because she can't pick a good partner? I don't know that much about her, but if she dressed more often like she did on Letterman people could see more of her positives......
What a sharp, witty, beautiful babe! 799@canada.com
