It's been dry as a dirt sandwich around here, but it rained yesterday and again today. The rice farmers, cattlemen and overseers of suburban lawns are grateful for the precipitation. This photo was taken late this afternoon up around Iowa Colony.
In the month of June, we had only 0.32 inch of rain. But yesterday, we had 0.67 inch or rain. Not sure how much fell today as the official data has not been submitted.
(P.S. -- I put another Brazoria County weather-related photo on the the photoblog, plus a few pictures that were taken in Houston today and while driving by the ongoing construction in Angleton of the Stephen F. Austin statue.)
