Bird's nest on the ground

Father's Day began with a neighborhood crisis. Jake, the soon-to-be-6th-grader who lives across the street, came over to say he and brother were trying to save some baby birds whose nest had fallen. I suspect the bird's nest was knocked down with a hockey stick from its location between a drain pipe and the wall of Jake's house, but I never could get a straight story from either Jake or his younger brother Bubby, who I think were feeling a bit guilty as they probably figured the bird's nest was empty when they dislodged it. I didn't press them on the issue, knowing the emotional trauma of the day could have repercussions down the road. For the rest of the pictures and story, please see Banjo Pics.
