Attack of the Killer Seaweed!

We pulled off the Blue Water Highway on Follett's Island on our way to Galveston. It's the scenic route, even though you have to drive through Surfside.

The seaweed pictured here is piled about a foot-high on the east end of Follet's Island. It was dry and crunchy. Not tourist brochure material. If you don't scrape it up, it just keeps piling up.

But never you mind. We were on the way to Galveston. For more pictures of what I have decided to entitle "My Back Pages, Galveston Edition," please see Banjo Pics.
