While it was appropriate that Thompson dedicate "Fear and Loathing" to Dylan's drug-tinged "Mr. Tamborine Man," I have always preferred the master's more plaintive missives such as "Nashville Skyline Rag" and "To Ramona." I guess my cockeyed optimism will forever separate me from the good doctor.
