ConocoPhillips -- BUSTED

State enviro regulators say they've caught ConocoPhillips dead-to-rights for "exceeding the permitted limits during an avoidable emissions event..."

Under an "agreed order," the company will be fined $10,000, but the order won't be official until the public (ie., YOU) has a chance to submit written comments. Deadline is May 9.

ConocoPhillips operates a petroleum refinery in Old Ocean, which is a great name for a town if you ask me.
