Does H-town radio suck?
Houston Press writer John Nova Lomax does a radio listening marathon to ponder the quality of Houston radio and discovers that the Alvin Community College station is offering quality programming. Yea ACC! Charles Kuffner links and discusses. [Off The Kuff]
I heartily endorse Kuff's idea of a radio station that broadcasts "a broader playlist among the oldies and more of a focus on acoustic/folk-type rock of today; some alt-country might be a nice fit, too."
Unless that happens, I'll spend most of my radio listening to talk and sports, until Scooter, my wife and assistant, makes me change over to some of that good ol' C&W. ("Redneck Woman" is a heckuva good song, I've discovered.)
