The local school district races and the big white elephant standing in the room that no one wants to talk about

The local paper, Der Fax, ran a story today about the local school races. I even read it.

What I didn't see was any discussion about keeping local school district officials from ripping off taxpayers in ongoing criminal enterprises, which is now under investigation by the DA's office.

Is that considered impolite? Or is it a matter of etiquette, because the criminal justice system has not yet gotten to the bottom of the barrel of bad apples.

Just wonderin'.

I think it's because they would all rather just let that mess fade out of public view.

Or is that what you were saying?
