Pedaling for Paul

Coverage in the local Clute paper of Ron Paul's campaign for the presidency has been dreadfully sparse and completely lackluster, but it sorta made up for it, a little, with this story in Monday's editions about a 45-year-old man who is bicycling cross country on behalf of our Favorite Son.

The bicycler " who lives in Hawaii, began his journey on Oct. 21 at the Santa Monica Pier at the end of Route 66 in California. His destination is Washington, D.C., and he has taken a southern route through the United States so far," the story says.

And Ron Paul bicycled with the feller for a bit on Sunday.

He went 10 miles, too.

Not bad for a 72-year-old grumpy gynecologist.
