In California, preparing for the Big Melt

Most of you haven't thought far enough ahead to go ahead and pack your lunch for tomorrow.

Me included!

But in Santa Barbara, Calif., city leaders are preparing far, far in advance for the future.

If Greenland melts, they want their fellow citizens to know now where the new waterline will be -- right in the middle of their quaint, charming and historically preserved downtown.

They wanna paint a long blue line through town for the future defrosting, both as a warning to global warming naysayers and to give local Realtors a leg up in planning marketing campaigns for oceanfront lots of the future.
