Lake Jackson woman makes MTV history!

This just in ... McCall Adams, the native Lake Jacksonian, has won the MTV contest to be a correspondent at the Video Music Awards.

We got it straight from the young winner her ownself, in an "exclusive" email interview ...

Hello Mr. Jones,
Thank you so much for the support!!! I really never could have imagined so many people would take such an interest in the future of someone they don't know. I am so appreciative. I have attached a few pictures, feel free to choose anyone you like. I guess I should let you know also, that the votes are tallied, it's official.... I WON!! I honestly believe this is due to so many people like you taking an interest in the lives of others. THANK YOU! MTV will be setting up a blog so people can comment, give me advice, and just chat with me for the next few weeks before the VMA's. I believe the site will be the same neutrogena.mtvu.com, it's not quite set up yet but shold be soon.

It seems like the LJ City Council oughta pass some sorta resolution saluting McCall for being selected over so many other aspiring MTV would-be personalities.

And we hope that McCall will always use her future power as a media personality for good and not evil.
