Brilliant idea but far too late

This is rich. And pathetic.

It was recommended today that the oil industry not release highly flammable liquid hydrocarbons into the air like geysers.

Cause they can blow up and kill people.

Better to install FLARES -- those tall pipe-like things you see while driving by a petrochemical complex where a flame is shooting out the top.

Too bad 15 people had to die in Texas City for the US Chemical Safety and Investigation Board to make this bold recommendation.

British Petroleum should be ashamed.
