The geezers are alright
Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey performed on Letterman last night (see photos) part of a new worldwide tour which, as The New York Times noted, is the band's "umpteenth tour since its farewell concerts in 1982."
They do, however, have a new album out in October, and since The Who today is only one-half of The Who of its heyday, owing to the long-ago death of Keith Moon and the more recent passing of John Entwhistle, there have been some changes. Ringo Starr's son, Zak, for instance, is now playing drums.
It's a long, long way from the shepherd's bush pie days.
