Outside operator saves Equistar's ass

Let's hear it for the noble "contract worker."

With Big Oil and Chemical concerns getting rid of more and more workers on the payroll (and replacing them with third party workers who don't get benefits and such), they take on a much more important role in this thing we call the Petrochemical Underarm of Texas.

Why, without one such eagle-eyed worker the other day over in Liverpool (identified only as an "outside operator"), Equistar Chemicals mighta lost a lot more than a mere 28 lbs. of benezene. Give this man a free soda pop at the Wee Mart in Alvin, say we.

At least someone's mindin' the store, allegedly.
