Signs of Katrina in Mississippi

This is a familiar sight to anyone who's traveled through Mississippi up I-59.

You'll also see small trailers at spots along the interstate, where Hurricane Katrina evacuees are either living or about to start living.

In Louisiana, along the North Shore of Lake Ponchatrain, towns like Covington have doubled in size.

Said one lady we met, "Everybody here loves Houston, Texas. We know ya'll took in some of the bad, but most of 'em are good people."

Among the evacuees in Houston was one of the woman's three daughters. Another daughter's now living in Atlanta. The other is in Colorado.

She doesn't see them or her granchildren much anymore because of the great migration out of South Louisiana.
