In Houston, "Bottleneck" is Just Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose

Congrats to Houston are in order today.

Two of Space City's highway interchanges have made the feds' top 24 list of worst highway "bottlenecks."

Dallas didn't even make the list, but skunked Houston during this round of American Idol-like competition for federal mobility moolah. Ah, c'mon Paula. Randy? Simon! Pull your heads out from under your arms!

Houston's West Loop at I-10 West interchange ranks 2nd in the USA, behind the 101 at I-405 (Ventura Freeway) in LA.

Coming in at #20 is H-Town's Gulf Freeway at US 59 interchange.

Traffic congestion is getting worse, says the federal government.

Shezzam!

We'll go out on a limb and say this may not be particularly new news. But we're pleased from the top of our heads to the tip of our tippie toes that the federal government is on top of the problem. Studying it and such.
[congestion report, cough-cough, hack-hack]
