2. At what point in the War on Drugs timeline did retired football player-turned-ESPN-commentator getting caught with a pot pipe become Major News? Just wondering. Did you know that more than 16,000 people in the USA each year are killed by drunken drivers?

You may not have the driving force behind the San Diego offense, thank you very much.

Cameron was an assistant in Washington when Casserly was GM, right?

I'm guessing Casserly fed King this name hoping to make it sound like he has a plan to get the Texans' horrible offense going.

But will it be Casserly's call to make? I certainly hope not.

entirely possible, kevin. casserly is a treasure trove of not-for-attribution info to the media, says profootballtalk.com

Another column (sorry, forget where I saw it) says Mike Martz and Brian Billick will be possibilities if they don't return to their current teams.

I really don't see their prickly personalities fitting in Bob McNair's squeaky clean organization, but we'll see....

Lance on Sportsradio 610 this morning said the hot rumor now is the USC's Pete Carroll could be the new Texans head coach. Carroll wants control of personnel moves as part of any move to an NFL team. This, of course, would increase the Texans' chances of taking either Reggie Bush or Matt Leinert in the draft, apparently.

Interesting.... Carroll certainly knows the college talent, and the Texans desperately need to improve their drafting.

Cam Cameron? I don't think so. He got fired from coaching at Indiana. With LT and Brees anyone could succeed as the OC with the Chargers.
