Super duper Super Bowl ads

How popular are TV ads during the Super Bowl?

A survey conducted last February by consulting firm Penn Shoen & Berland found that 58% of polled adults said they talked more about the ads the next day than they did the game. The same number of respondents said they would rather miss some of the game than any of the commercials.

This either means the quality of the competition in the Super Bowl leaves a lot to be desired, or we've become a national totally zombie-ized by consumerism.

Either way, the NFL this year will assemble a 30-minute "Video On Demand" show consisting entirely of Super Bowl commercials, which will be available after the big game.

Never mind the post-game analysis, let's watch that hilarious Doritos commercial again. Play it in Slo-Mo this time!

What'll it cost to place an ad? Only $2.5 million for 30 seconds.
