Kinky update

The Kinky Friedman independent gubernatorial campaign shattered its $75,000 Kinky Talking Action Figure FunDrive Goal and has decided to extend the deadline to Sept. 5 for supporters who haven't yet submitted their order.

Meanwhile, Kinky's campaign continues to enthrall the national media, with CBS Sunday Morning doing a profile piece yesterday in which Billy Joe Shaver, Molly Ivins and others opined about the wonderfulness of it all.
