Sandra Day O'Connor

She was graduated third in her law school class at Stanford. THIRD! Rehnquist was first. Yet, she couldn't get a job. She wrote to district attorneys in California, offering to work for free out of a secretary's office. One took her up on the offer, and his successor hired her for wages. That's how she got started. She grew up poor. Born in El Paso, moved to Arizona. A heck of a woman. And, my, how times have changed, thank the good Lord. All this from TV today. That is all.
