Pallilo, part 2
I sent Charlie Pallilo an email that said: "you couldn't carry Harry Cary's jockstrap."
(Yes, a sports cliche, but he was about to sign off and I was under deadline pressure. )
He wrote back within about 5 minutes, saying:
I would have no interest in even touching it.

What a schmuck.

But a responsive schumck.
I'm going to make every effort to listen to Charles this afternoon. I've got a feeling he's going to go after Loel Passe.
So long as Pallilo lays off Gene Elston and Vin Sculley, he's O.K. in my book.
tom, i grew up listening to Elston and Loel Passe with a transistor radio by my pillow. I'd even keep score, inning by inning, pitch by pitch, in a scorebook my dad got me. not every game, of course, but a lot of 'em. i sure wish i still had that scorebook. it'd be fun to look at ... as for scully, scooter, my wife and assistant, reveres him, having grown up out there.
