Final salute

The last B-24 "Black Cat" Liberator bomber to be shot down over Germany in World War II fell on April 21, 1945. The families of the 10 men who died were informed of their loss on May 8 -- VE Day -- while the rest of the country celebrated. The plane is commemmorated on a new aviation stamp.
