Yes, we have no banannas

But Sweeny's got more benzene and more 1,3-butadiene and other ooglie-googlies as a result of the Ethylene 33 Unit coming down unexpectedly at Chevron Phillips Chemical.

Say, Banjo, do you live next door to one of these things?

Whoops, can't edit my posts like I do over at BlogHouston. So I'll post again and cut to the chase.

Anyway, the reason I'm asking, isn't it possible, if you live in close proximity to a refinery, to get a state monitoring station set up in your yard?

That would make for an interesting pollution report, if it didn't scare the beejeezus out of you every morning...

It would be even more interesting if some computer geek like me could figure out how to do a direct feed from the station to your blog in real time!

Don't live next door ... and I doubt the state would set up an expensive monitoring device at the request of some smart ass blogger. But it's a cool idea. And thank you for your input. I had no idea anyone read this crap!

Yes, we read this crap all the time!

Glad to hear you don't live next door to a refinery. But they would not have to know you are a smart ass blogger, we just would not tell them! Job description not required! :^D
