`Hoop Dreams' dad murdered

If you saw the basketball documentary Hoop Dreams, which follows the lives of two Chicago teen-agers whose lives revolve around making it big playing roundball, you will remember the father of one of the film's main characters as a troubled man with a drug addiction.

The movie ended without telling the epilogue about Arthur Agee Jr.'s dad, who kicked cocaine and later became a minister. That part of his life was to be contained in a Hoop Dreams DVD to be released this spring.

The other night, "Bo" Agree was murdered during a robbery.
