HUMMERS



On Saturday, Sept. 6, see hundreds of migrating Ruby-throated Hummingbirds stocking up on flower nectar or at feeders as they prepare for their southbound journey to the tropics. The Houston Audubon Society will join in the festivities. Hear speakers on hummingbird biology and gardening. On-going hummingbird banding demonstrations will provide viewers with a close-up view of these tiny birds. The GCBO Nature Store will offer books, feeders and other hummingbird- and migration-related items.
